HUNDREDS of people headed to Ely Cathedral on Wednesday for the return of the popular BBC series, Flog It!

A vast array of antiques from paintings and pots, to fine china and glass was handed over to one of a number of experts on the day, with the very best items making it through to the live auction, set to take place in October.

Host Paul Martin was in attendance on the day, casting a know eye over a couple of the more unusual items, which he will be on hand to help sell in the Canterbury auction in the Autumn.

Previous programmes have seen a small cream jug sold at auction for £1,300; a ceramic bowl, bought for £4 at a car boot sale, achieving £1,500; and a Shelley tea set selling for a huge £3,400.
